Bekraf Habibie Festival 2018 was carrying theme “Technology and Innovation for People: Look, Touch, and Feel The Latest Innovation Technologies for a Better Future.” The event was attended by more than 100 local and national companies.

The event was held in De Tjolomadoe, a former sugar factory in Colomadu, Karanganyar, which transformed into a heritage tourist destination.  Bekraf Habibie Festival was expected to be education medium for students or general public who want to innovate.

Various event were displayed in Bekraf Habibie Festival 2018, among others technology and innovation in field of aerospace, digital startup, banking, virtual reality, property, and 3D printing. Public also can try to use the technology which be on the display. In addition to science and technology exhibition, there were held UMKM event involving businessmen in Soloraya.

The arrival of CEO PT. Solo Murni, Rio Haryanto, also graced the Bekraf Habibie Festival. Rio recount the experience as a former Formula 1 driver in a talk show. With his typical smile, Rio tells how he was in a shock culture when living abroad. However, the problem is slowly resolved. He hopes young people will be more creative and innovative in every fields. He also hope Bekraf Habibie Festival can increase motivation to Indonesian youth in the future.
